Schacht Hand Cards and Flick Card

A full compliment of hand cards are offered. Choose from curved-back cards or flat-back cards.

The wool hand cards are 112 teeth per sq. inch are available in full size (8" x 4.5")or child size (5.75" x 4.5") pads. The cotton/fur (fine fibers) hand cards are 255 teeth per sq. inch and available in full size (10.5" x 4") and half size (5.25" x 4") pads. The "flick" card has a 5.5" x .5" pad with a curved back. We also stock their "Teasing Tool" which is a 5.5" x 4.5" 112 teeth per sq. inch flat pad and clamp set for opening locks and teasing fiber prior to carding.

The Strauch hand cards are good value and are constructed using poplar wood with maple handles. All are sealed with a tung oil finish.

Precision made maple bobbins for Schacht spinning wheels. Made from maple and come with an oil finish. Choose the "Standard" for all spinning with the wheel set up in the "Scotch Tension" mode and for "Double-Drive" with the "Extra Slow Speed", "Slow Speed", "Medium Speed", and "Fast Speed" whorls. Use the "High Speed Bobbins" when in "Double-Drive" mode using the "High Speed" and the "Super High Speed" whorls.

The DC-200 series Strauch Drum Carder is hand-crank carder has a chain drive that prevents slipping while carding. The "licker-in" drum is 2" diameter x 8" wide. The carding drum is 7" diameter x 8" wide and produces a batt approximately 7" wide by 22" long. The teeth are 3/8" long. Overall size of the carder is 12" wide x 24" long. This carder turns at a 4:1 ratio and spins almost effortlessly.
