Welcome a new kitty into your home. This felted feline promises never to get into your yarn. Knit in wool held along with a novelty "fur" yarn.
You need about 180 yards of a wool yarn (approximately worsted weight) and 150 yards of novelty yarn if you follow the pattern as shown. Vary the pattern and/or the recommended needle size and your yardage will vary.
The Kitty pictured was made from "Woolpak 8 ply" (less than 1 skein) and "Baby Monkey" novelty yarn (3 balls). We have both yarns (you could also use "Lamb's Pride Worsted" (1 skein) in place of the "Woolpak 8 ply". We have that yarn too. Needles required for this model: Size 11 US (8mm) circular needles 24" (60cm) long and two size 13 US (9mm) double pointed needles.
