Tatting Needles

Tatting needles - in sets or individually. Many beginner's find needle tatting easier to master than tatting with a shuttle. After you have learned to needle tat, we find the conversion to shuttle tatting much easier to understand, that is, IF you want to convert. It is impossible for most people to tell the difference in finished products shuttle and needle tatted. Each needle is approximately 5 inches long. General rule of thumb is to use a needle size that most closely matches the thread you are going to tat with. Set of 3 includes one each #3, 5 and 7. Number 3 needle is generally used for Perle Cotton #3 or #5 and Knit Cro Sheen thread. Number 5 needle; Perle Cotton #5 & #8 and crochet cotton #10 & #20. Number 7 needle; 70 & 80 tatting thread and #30, #40, #50, and #60 crochet cotton.
