Chestnut Roasting Pan

The best way to prepare roasted chestnuts is first to score them, to prevent bursting. This can be done safely with a chestnut cutter (see SKU 50.chstntr). Then put the chestnuts into the roasting pan, sprinkle with water, and begin roasting over the flame for about 15 minutes. Stir or shake the pan from time to time to prevent the chestnuts from burning. When the skins have begun to separate and the meat exposed, they are finished. Let the chestnuts "rest" for five or so minutes, and enjoy!
